We are thrilled to have car2go’s carsharing program as part of such a friendly, diverse, cultural and business hub. We hope to become an integral part of Austin’s green mobility strategy and look forward to helping you meet your mobility needs in a more affordable and sustainable manner.

What is car2go?

Unlike traditional carsharing programs, car2go is not station-based. A fleet of 300 car2gos is located throughout the greater downtown Austin area and can be accessed "on demand." The members may use the vehicle for as long as they like, without committing to a specific return time. The driver can finish the rental in any available public parking space within the operating area or at one of the specially marked car2go spaces. Charges are based on minutes used and include fuel, insurance, maintenance and parking.
